Kanye West - West Offended Over Festival Criticism
Kanye West has hit back at criticism over keeping fans waiting at the Bonnaroo festival.
The hip-hop star claimed the complaints were the "most offended I've ever been".
West wrote in his online blog that he had been delayed by an hour and a half because the Tennessee festival organisers had not allowed enough time to build his stage set.
Fans booed West while they waited for him to take to the stage.
"This Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life," the artist wrote in his blog.
"This is the most offended I've ever been. This is the maddest I ever will be."
He continued that he could accept being labelled "arrogant, conceited, narcissistic" but people should "never say I didnt give it my all".
"Sometimes I go two, three days without sleep working on my performance," he said.
"I have to ice my knees after every show and they hurt when I walk through the airport
having an expensive stage cuts my payday in half."
The festival organisers countered West's accusations saying: "Our world-class event production team strives to accommodate the needs of every performer."

What the Kiwi gossip mags say
When it comes to cheesy headlines, nothing takes the cake quite like a "miracle baby". So it's no surprise to see the gossip mags using the term twice this week.
The first comes courtesy of former All Black Jeff Wilson and netballer Adine, who are celebrating the birth of their newborn baby, a "miracle" little tyke called Harper.
Unless Harper managed to avoid Jeff's gene for a receding hairline, where's the miracle?
Woman's Weekly reports there was drama worthy of an episode of Shortland Street during Harper's birth as Jeff paced up and down the hallway outside the hospital's operating theatre, waiting for his wife and baby to emerge.
Adine was undergoing a Caesarean section, a routine operation performed regularly at hospitals around New Zealand.
"I tried everything I could think of to distract myself," Jeff tells WW.
"I even tried counting down in 30-second blocks. Then I heard my baby cry from inside the theatre and that was it."
Don't worry Jeff. You'll get used to the sound of a baby crying. You've got years of it ahead of you.
New Idea also busts out the over-used "miracle" term for another sports star's baby, but this one is a little more deserved.
League star Shontayne Hape and his wife Liana are beaming after the birth of their son Kyus.
Following a four-year struggle to make a baby - including two miscarriages and an infertility diagnosis - they've got every reason to smile.
"We wanted to have a baby for so long," Shontayne says. "We started eating organic foods and trying all sorts of things."
Perhaps you should have put down your spray-free apples and tried having sex, Shontayne. That usually does the trick.
Elsewhere, telly presenter Kelly Swanson-Roe and her psychologist husband John Aiken are packing their things and saying goodbye to New Zealand as they join the brain drain and head to Australia.
While Prime TV will mourn the loss of Kelly's exotic screen presence, the pair feel they need to move to "extend ourselves as far as we can". Plus, there are way more "doors" in Aussie.
"Since we made the decision, doors have just opened," they tell NI. "It (the move) is a great way of getting back to basics (and) opening your own doors."
Make sure you close those doors behind you, eh? It's winter, and you're letting in a draft.
Other stars who hit the headlines this week:
*Shortland Street star Anna Julienne is back home following a six-month world tour. But she's forgotten one very important item - her fiancé. Anna tells Woman's Day she and her partner James Kermode got engaged in Germany while backpacking around Europe, and he's staying over there for work. You were in Europe, Anna, and the most romantic spot you could find was in Germany?
*Anyone remember Jason Donovan? The former Neighbours star has married Angela Malloch within 48 hours of proposing during a Bali holiday. "I always thought we'd get married in this kind of way but it was spontaneous," a dress-wearing, head band-clad Jason tells WD. "I kicked a coconut and stabbed a coconut leaf. It was perfect." Sounds like a pretty violent wedding celebration.
*New Zealand's biggest Westlife fan has been found. During the cheesy boy band's recent tour, Whangarei woman Hayley Lawrence managed to secure the signatures of all four of the band's members, and had their scrawls permanently tattooed on her arms. "To have all this happen is just amazing," Hayley tells WD. Talk about signing your life away.
Finally, the quote of the week comes from Gwyneth Paltrow, who is mildly keen to have another baby: "I'll force myself to do it one more time because the result is so worth it."
Is sex with Chris Martin that bad, Gwyneth?
