Kanye West - West Offended Over Festival Criticism

Kanye West has hit back at criticism over keeping fans waiting at the Bonnaroo festival.

The hip-hop star claimed the complaints were the "most offended I've ever been".

West wrote in his online blog that he had been delayed by an hour and a half because the Tennessee festival organisers had not allowed enough time to build his stage set.

Fans booed West while they waited for him to take to the stage.

"This Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life," the artist wrote in his blog.

"This is the most offended I've ever been. This is the maddest I ever will be."

He continued that he could accept being labelled "arrogant, conceited, narcissistic" but people should "never say I didn’t give it my all".

"Sometimes I go two, three days without sleep working on my performance," he said.

"I have to ice my knees after every show and they hurt when I walk through the airport… having an expensive stage cuts my payday in half."

The festival organisers countered West's accusations saying: "Our world-class event production team strives to accommodate the needs of every performer."
